In addition to its bi-annual convenings, the League of Innovative Schools offers ongoing in-person and virtual opportunities for League members to connect with one another to share innovations from their districts, collaborate around shared problems of practice, and deepen relationships.
Monthly Superintendents Meetings
Each month, League superintendents come together virtually to strengthen relationships, build community, and access a safe space of care and concern. Meeting agendas take a variety of formats to best meet leaders’ interests and needs, including case study presentations on district initiatives from fellow League leaders, small group discussions around problems of practice, deep dives into industry topics from Digital Promise staff and partners, and more.
Advocacy Opportunities
Digital Promise has organized opportunities for League leaders to meet with their congressional representatives to discuss pressing issues in education across the country and in their own communities. In Fall 2023, Digital Promise hosted League on the Hill, in which 70 League leaders from 39 districts and 14 states met with congressional representatives from their community to discuss some of the top challenges facing their school districts and to advocate for increased federal investment in education research and development.
Regional Events
League leaders have ongoing opportunities to meet in-person with fellow members at more intimate, regional events hosted by League districts and partners. In Spring 2024, League members are invited to Anaheim, California, to explore innovative approaches for the integration of AI in education, and to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to explore future-driven, learner-centered, and place-driven community learning.
Industry Conferences
Digital Promise facilitates exclusive access, scholarships, and engagement opportunities at industry conferences to help League leaders maximize their professional learning. In Spring 2024, Digital Promise is organizing opportunities for League members at the AASA National Conference on Education (February 15-17), CoSN – Consortium for School Networking (April 8-10), ASU+GSV Summit (April 14-17), and the EdWeek Leadership Symposium (May 1-3).
