About

League Learning Collaboratives (LLCs) are learning opportunities for leaders at all levels of a district—including superintendents, district leaders, school leaders, and instructional coaches—through practical cycles of trying out actions, reflecting on what you discover, and adapting your next steps, all within a supportive peer community. Grounded in improvement science and human-centered design, each LLC helps you deeply understand a challenge and make progress over time alongside others tackling similar work.

The Career Readiness and Workforce Development League Learning Collaborative will equip members with the tools, resources, and a network of support to design and implement effective career readiness programs that prepare students for workforce success and strengthen community partnerships.

Participants can expect to gain:

  • A deeper understanding of key frameworks and strategies for integrating career readiness into K-12 education.
  • Opportunities to explore and test strategies to support students' career preparation, including (paid) internships, apprenticeships, and other experiential learning opportunities.
  • Insight on identifying, developing, and leveraging industry partnerships to support career readiness and workforce development.
  • New ideas and strategies, along with a network of peers who provide support and accountability for implementing them.
  • Access to shared resources, templates, and best practices from other districts.

Application Criteria

To maximize learning and collaboration, leaders from a wide variety of roles are invited to apply: Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, Chief Academic Officers, Principals, etc.

Participants may join multiple collaboratives, provided they can actively engage. District teams can also divide and join different collaboratives based on their needs.
