League of Innovative Students (LOIS) 2024-25 Cohort

About

The League of Innovative Students (LOIS) is a pioneering program designed to place students at the heart of research and development within the education sector. This program empowers students to drive meaningful change and make a significant impact on the national education landscape.

We are inviting district applications for your students to participate in the LOIS 2024-2025 class! In the spring of 2025, the Center for Inclusive Innovation will host two new design sprint opportunities for students. 

• Opportunity 1: In partnership with EdTech Remix from the Graduate School of Education at Stanford University and the Stanford d.School, we are excited to recruit four districts with teams of up to 4 students each to participate in shaping edtech to better address student agency and outcomes. • Opportunity 2: We invite four districts with teams of 3 - 4 students each to join us to elevate student voice and leadership and build capacity in researching a district priority challenge and sourcing innovative solutions with students at the center. Learn more about the opportunity here. 

Instead of districts engaging one or two students, this year we are inviting districts to engage a group of students to participate to provide students with opportunities to collaborate with each other on the projects.

Application Criteria

District criteria to participate in LOIS 2024-2025

• Identify and support a team of 4 diverse students to participate together in LOIS
• Appoint an adult champion as the lead point person working with Digital Promise who will  advise and support students locally
• Commit to your students and adult champions participating in a 12-week engagement
